ABOUT MINEE MONKEYS
Minee Monkeys Day Nursery and Preschool has been open for 20 years, we're based in the Sandwell area in Oldbury and situated close to junction 2 of the M5 motorway. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for babies and children aged 0-5 years.

Our premises are registered for up to 63 children, and our nursery is run by 3 experienced directors who also manage the setting alongside our long-standing dedicated and experienced staff. All of our staff have been thoroughly vetted with an enhanced DBS and references before commencing employment.

The nursery is open 51 weeks a year from 7 am-6 pm Monday-Friday, offering full-time and part-time nursery care at a minimum of 2 days a week. Full-day sessions are 7 am-6 pm, morning sessions are 7 am-12:30 pm and afternoon sessions are 12:30 pm-6 pm.

At Minee Monkeys Day Nursery and Preschool, we strive to build a strong partnership with children and families. We make sure to communicate effectively in a variety of ways, and operate an open-door policy where there will always be someone for parents to speak to.

We welcome parents to step into the office, call or email if they have any issues or concerns they would like to discuss. All parents are kept up to date with their child's development and learning through our safe and secure online journal, Tapestry.
​
Parents also have a chance to chat with their child's key worker or staff in their room daily. Parents will get an opportunity to discuss their child's development in more detail at our early parents' evening. We hold stay-and-plays a few times a year where parents, grandparents and carers can accompany their child to the nursery to play and get involved in activities.

FUNDING
We offer funded 15-hour sessions to 9-month-olds, 2-year-olds, and 3 and 4-year-olds. We also offer 30 hours for 3 and 4–year–olds to children of parents who are eligible for 38 weeks a year.
Parents must apply for their code before signing up for our setting. The code deadlines are December 31st, March 31st, and August 31st. To access funding for that term, your code must have been obtained before these dates.

If your child is born between the following dates, funding can be claimed starting from these periods:

1st April – 31st August: Funding begins in September following their third birthday.
1st September – 31st December: Funding begins in January following their third birthday.
1st January – 31st March: Funding begins in April following their third birthday.

NUTRITION
At Minee Monkey’s Day Nursery, we provide a daily selection of fresh, nutritious meals, including lunch, pudding, light tea, and snacks. Milk and water are readily available throughout the day.
​
Our on-site nursery chefs prepare all meals fresh, following the government’s healthy eating guidelines to ensure they are nutritionally balanced.
​
We accommodate all dietary needs and intolerances, including cultural requirements. Vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options are always available.
​
As a sugar-free nursery, we serve only water and milk throughout the day. Juice is provided only upon request and requires a written note to be kept on the child’s file.

If a place is required at our setting a £20 non-refundable booking fee is needed to secure your place. A nursery place will not be held or allocated until the booking fee has been received.
